Formula 1 has enjoyed exponential growth in recent years, with an increasing number of fans becoming gripped by the high-octane action the sport provides. Some 445 million people consider themselves fans of Formula 1, taking into account the number of people who watched the sport over a 12-month period from 2021-2022. Not only that, but 2.69 million attended live racing in 2021 alone.

Fans love Formula 1 because of such competitive teams like Ferrari and McLaren, along with the drivers that represent them. There’s also no shortage of drama and behind-the-scenes fighting. Let’s face it, fans love that too. Of course, the races themselves are also something to behold, with the world’s fastest regulated road-course racing cars helping to provide the entertainment.
Formula 1 Schedule
There are 22 Grand Prix races in the World Championship, beginning with the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in June and ending with the Mexican Grand Prix in October. A points system determines two World Champions: one for constructors and one for drivers. The winner of a race is awarded 25 points, with the points added up at the end of the season to determine the winner of both categories.

In terms of distance, a Grand Prix race must be a minus of 190miles, including the pre-defined number of laps. This is the standard distance for races, excluding the Monaco GP, which is 160 miles.
